October 3, 2023 - NativShark Monthly update

Hello everyone~

Welcome to the NativShark monthly update, hope everyone's studies have been going well^^

Here's what we've been up to in the past month:

New Study Content

20 new Phase Three Units were published in September!

This means that there were...

27 new lessons
92 lesson sentences, each with their own contexts
257 pieces of vocab, each with their own context and natural example sentence in that context
8 new kanji, (most kanji have already been seen in Phase One and Two)
20 new dialogues

...added in the last month, along with a new milestone:

Headed Home:
You have a sense of what it's like to be born and raised in Japan.

The above milestone contains 2 new study badges:

**Hakata Dialect:**
You won't be confused when you make new friends in Fukuoka.

**Error Prone:**
You know many ways to describe failing to do something.

And on top of that, we added another study badge which will fit into the next milestone:

**The Secret Life of Particles:**
You know many particles can be used in much different ways than one initially learns.

My (Ty here) personal rec is to make sure you get to Phase Three Unit 100, because it teaches you about 博多弁 (hakata ben // Hakata dialect). You can leverage that knowledge to make friends here in Fukuoka^^

Daily study reminder

Let's face it- most of us live very busy lives. And sometimes it's so busy that we let certain things that we want to do, like studying Japanese, slip.

The daily study reminder is here to help make sure it doesn't slip your mind^^

How it works

If you haven't studied yet today and it is 12 hours before your daily study reset, then you will receive an email from us reminding you to study.

This is an opt-in setting which you can find in your notification settings here. (Let us know if you find any bugs with it as well in case something is weird!)

There's other goodies and resources in the reminder email as well so it might be worth turning on to make sure you never forget to progress towards your language goals for the day 👀
