Yes. NativShark is designed to be the only resource needed to reach a high level of Japanese proficiency. You might choose to add other specific learning resources to your study routine, but it's not mandatory to do so if you use NativShark as your main study resource. We generally recommend spending the extra time enjoying a manga, show, or video game in Japanese instead of hunting for more resources^^ (We even have a guide about that.)See more on how far NativShark can take your Japanese.
Yes. We even wrote a guide for passing the N1 and N2, the two highest levels that employers look for when considering jobs and visas. You'll also have a much deeper understanding and functionality of Japanese compared to an average learner who may be near a similar JLPT level as you, since this test only measures a very specific (and unnatural to use in real life) portion of the Japanese language.
Because it gives you a realistic picture of how Japanese is used in real life. Unfortunately, most study resources don't tell you they're teaching you a very specific kind of language that Japanese speakers do not use in everyday life, let alone teach it to you. This is one of the reasons we made NativShark to begin with ^^See here for more information.
We recommend starting at the beginning of NativShark and archiving things you're familiar with. Many students have found that starting from the beginning has been extremely beneficial to them in solidifying their foundation so they can understand and use everyday Japanese. Even those who have passed the JLPT N1 before starting NativShark.See here for the recommended NativShark study strategy if you're not a beginner!
NativShark is free to start with no payment information required. You can subscribe and unsubscribewhenever you like, and you can even review flashcards of what you've learned so far without an active subscription.
NativShark is a web app that works on desktop and mobile browsers. We do not currently have a iOS or Android app, but we do have plans for one. However, you can add NativShark to your home screen and have it function similar to an app.
